Quanta

Main character, age eight. Notices the small shapes.

She lives in the Quantum Bazaar. In this album she simply moves through her days in the lane, noticing rangoli rings, dosa circles, ripples and warm tiles. There is no big experiment here, only small days kept like little photographs.

A gentle brass-coloured robot who once worked at the Saha Institute. In this album he opens the chai stall at dawn, stacks the clay cups, and watches the lane slowly wake up.

Dadi-Bot

Grandmother robot, retired scientist. Tends the tulsi plant.

She waters the tulsi plant first thing each morning and keeps the little lab tidy. She speaks softly, but every word matters.

Arjo

Cousin, same age as Quanta. Flies kites from the rooftop.

He fixes brass clocks and flies kites from the rooftop. In this album he just enjoys the small days, counting kites in the sky and chasing the cat off the warm tiles.

Auntie Supi

Aunt in Mylapore, Chennai. Weighs the brass coins.

She weighs brass coins on a small balance and folds banana-leaf parcels. In this album she shows Quanta the quiet, everyday kinds of measuring that fill a day in the lane.

Q0

The sleepy qubit. Watches the quiet things.

Q0 nods solemnly on Quanta’s shoulder. He says less than Q1 but he is the one who quietly notices the small things: a new rangoli, a ripple, the cat moving with the sun.

Q1

The loud qubit. Counts marigolds out loud.

Q1 bounces with excitement at every small thing. He counts marigolds and rangoli rings out loud and claps with both little hands when the dosa makes a perfect circle.

Colouring page line art of Schro.

Schro

A black-and-white temple cat. Follows the warm tile.

She sleeps on a warm tile and moves a little each day to follow the sun. She is always fine. She does not need the box.

About the line art.

Each portrait above is also the colouring page for that character inside Book 3. When the printed book reaches you, these are the pages your child can colour in with crayons, sketch pens, or watercolours. The book stays the same. The colour is yours.

Final printed art is hand-redrawn by a credited human illustrator from the RSL Quantum Studio drafts.
